I know I'm like a few months late but this method worked for me. I tried to follow these steps but i do not have this savedata,vfs file, only a savedata.bak and savedata.tmp what should be done? Please let me know if this method does not work. So basically, replace the current save data with the backup data. Remove savadata.vfs from that folder and rename "savedata.bak" to "savedata.vfs." Make copies of the two files (just in case). The savedata.bak will be a backup of the last save before the current one that got corrupted. You will see two save files, one is savedata.vfs and the other should be savedata.bak.
